Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has hinted Marek Hamsik could be sold this summer
Manchester City are aware it will take a big fee to prise the 26-year-old away from Naples due to the fact he penned a fresh contract only last summer.
However, as soon as Champions League qualification is secured, the title challengers hope to enter into a dialogue with the Italians, who are managed by ex-Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez
As quoted on the Sky Sports website, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis said: “Marek has to come and tell me if he wants to go, but there is no more Neapolitan player than him. He has become Neapolitan and for me he is absolutely not for sale.
“Of course, if he came to me and asked to leave, then we’d have to discuss it.”
