New Rangers manager, Pedro Caixinha has made a last ditch attempt to stop wonder kid, Billy Gilmour from joining Chelsea.
Rangers have reportedly agreed to sell the youngster to Chelsea, all that is left is for the player’s family to decide if he should accept the offer and move to London.
Caixinha has admitted that he has tried to stop the player from moving by speaking to his parents.
The gaffer believes the teenager has a bright future in football, but may be making the move too soon.
Gilmour has been spending time training with the club’s first team, and has been praised for his level of maturity. Despite being just 15, he has displayed so much maturity that he has been fast tracked to the first team setup at the Glasgow club.
His coach has stated that he has related his opinion on the move to the player and his parents, and hopes that they would reconsider the move and allow the player to stay and continue his development.
Chelsea are eager to bolster their youth ranks with the best youngsters in Europe, despite the fact that less of their academy players actually come through to their first team.
