Former Liverpool forward Emile Heskey has urged the club to sign up James Rodriguez.
Liverpool agreed to sell the Luis Suarez to Barcelona in a deal worth around £75m, and Brendan Rodgers is now looking for a replacements or two to fill the void that will be left by the superstar.
And having seen his former club miss out on Alexis Sanchez, Heskey wants Liverpool to make Rodriguez, currently of Monaco, their No.1 target.
As quoted on the Daily Star website, he said: “Both Alexis Sanchez and James Rodriguez have lit up the World Cup.
“The latter is only 23, so you would get a lot of mileage out of him. James would be my number one [target] if Liverpool could get him.”
