Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has revealed that he is trying to persuade Real Madrid keeper Iker Casillas to join the club.
The Spanish keeper has been a bit part player for Madrid this season, as boss Carlo Ancelotti prefers Diego Lopez as his number one.
That has seen Arsene Wengers side linked with a summer move and they have edged closer after midfielder Santi Cazorla made it known he had been in contact with the keeper over a move.
As quoted on the SportsDirectNews website, he said: “I have told him, but so far he has just been curious about my experience in England.
“His situation is complicated, but he has to make a decision. Lots of clubs want him, including Arsenal, but I think it would be very difficult to leave Madrid because of what the club represents. He knows what he has and what he could find at another club.”
