Barcelona star Xavi has revealed his time at the Nou Camp could be up, opening the door to a sensational switch to Manchester United.
The 34-year-old previously said that he would never leave the Catalan giants for the Premier League as long as he was wanted at the Nou Camp, but the arrival of new boss Luis Enrique has cast doubt over his long-term future.
And with the signing of Sevilla captain Ivan Rakitic, Enrique is believed to favour tenacity and a high work-ethic in midfield over technique and possession.
And according to the Daily Express website, Louis van Gaal is currently on the look-out for a world-class midfielder, and could make a move as he looks to revamp his team stage-by-stage.
Xavi admitted he was in the dark over his future in Spain, saying: “Nothing’s decided yet.
“I’ll make a decision when the World Cup is over.”
