Striker confirms ‘I am ready for new challenge’ as Arsenal business ‘will be done’

There has been some fresh reports which have revealed Arsenal striker  Nicklas Bendtner has confirmed he plans to leave the Emirates when his contract is up at the club

The Denmark striker, who was brought back into the first-team setup this term after spells away on-loan, was hopeful of forcing his way back into Arsene Wenger’s plans.

But after failing to hold down a regular place, and with French youngster Yaya Sanogo now ahead of him in the pecking order, Bendtner says he plans to move on.

‘I’m not going to stay at Arsenal – first team football is what I’m after,’ he told reporters.

‘The plan is for me to move on. I’m ready for a new challenge. When I find my right club, I am sure that everything will be all right in itself, if there are no more injuries.’ (Metro)
