There has been some reports which have claimed Iaga Aspas has hinted he could remain at Liverpool next season.
The Spanish striker arrived at Anfield last summer for a £7.7 million fee, but has not lived upto expectations and has found himself on the bench more often than not.
Aspas revealed last month that he was eyeing a permanent exit from Anfield.
But now the 26-year-old has backtracked on those comments and insists he will not throw in the towel on his Liverpool career just yet.
As quoted on the Daily Star website, he said: “I have not thought about my future yet.
“I still have three more years under contract at the club. I took a big jump when I decided to move from Celta to Liverpool and I’m not going to jump off a bridge wanting to leave the club just one year after.
“But it’s hard to go from playing all the time at Celta to playing so little here.
“I am happy because of the team but a player is selfish and wants to play more. This is obvious.
“Confidence for a player is everything and it’s not the same when you play the whole game than when you just have five minutes in the second half.”
