Superstar ‘open’ to big Man United move

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique would be open to returning to his old club Manchester United

The 27-year-old is facing an uncertain time at the Nou Camp at the moment, with some poor recent performances seeing him become unpopular with a section of the club’s supporters this season.

United are currently in need of central defensive signings, with long-serving stopper Nemanja Vidic already confirmed as leaving the club for a move to Inter Milan in the summer, and Pique could now be lined up as a potential replacement for the Serbian.

The Spaniard has already spent a spell of his career at Old Trafford, moving to the club from Barcelona’s youth team in 2004, though he only made 23 senior appearances for United before re-joining Barca in the summer of 2008.

Pique has since become a key player for the Catalan giants, winning four La Liga titles and two Champions League titles in one of the most successful periods in the club’s history. (SportsDirectNews)

United would surely love the man back
