Tottenham looking to beat off Arsenal and £8 million striker

Tottenham believe they can beat bitter local rivals Arsenal to the signing of Loic Remy, according to the Daily Mirror website.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino wants the France striker to lead his attack and Chairman Daniel Levy is ready to table an £8million bid.

However, there has been talks in the media as of late that Arsenal and Arsène Wenger have been leading the way for Remy, and talks are in progress.

But they cannot guarantee the Frenchman will be their first-choice striker and Spurs are looking to swoop in and get a deal done.
