Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has come out and revealed that he had a heart-to-heart talk with Aaron Ramsey which inspired him to his career best form last season.
The Welsh International was seemingly heading in the wrong direction at the Emirates, and was almost on his way out.
However, Wenger admits they discussed the jeers from home fans during the previous campaign, which ultimately turned his career right around.
As quoted on the Daily Mail website, he said: “I sat down with Aaron and I told him, I don’t think people don’t like you, but they don’t like your game at the moment’.
“He had to come back to a more simple game… then you saw a different player, because he is intelligent, and when I came out of the meeting I knew this guy would come back.”
