There has been some reports which have revealed Arsenal have completed the long-mooted signing of Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle United.
Debuchy was at St James’ Park for 18 months, following a move from Lille, where he had spent all of his previous career.
At 28, he is now in his prime and was a key player in France’s run to the quarter-finals of Brazil 2014.
Now the Sky Sports website have revealed that he has signed a nice long-term deal.
He was quoted as saying: I’m looking forward to working with Arsene Wenger and to helping the team build on last season’s FA Cup success. Playing again in the Champions League is a big excitement for me and I will do my best to help Arsenal compete for trophies.
