Arsenal have been put on red alert after QPR admitted goalkeeper Julio Cesar can go for free.
The Brazilian goalkeeper joined Toronto FC on loan for the rest of the season after QPR boss Harry Redknapp took the decision to use former England number one Robert Green between the sticks.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is known to be a long-term admirer of Cesar, who is Brazil’s number one glovesman.
The Gunners are getting ready to revamp their squad in the summer with regular number one Wojciech Szczesny expected to be moved aside for a more experienced stopper, according to the SportsDirectNews website.
Wenger made an approach to sign him last summer, but the deal collapsed with the player costing around £2million on top of his huge wages.
