Wenger speaks to French legend in bid to get £25 million Arsenal deal wrapped up

There has been some reports which claim Arsene Wenger has spoken directly with Zinedine Zidane in an attempt to get a deal done for Real Madrid starlet Alvaro Morata.

Arsenal have been unable to agree a deal after Real Madrid demanded a buy-back clause after three years or £25million for a straight cash deal.

And Wenger is hoping Madrid legend Zidane will help get the deal across the line, according to the Daily Mirror website.

The French boss knows he must add some fire-power to his squad this summer and sees Morata as a great long-term investment.

  1. I see no reason why Arsenal is chasing Morata when we still have Jo Campbell. He’s no better than Campbell Instead of Morata, arsenal should look for a tested and proven striker. I don’t mind seeing Loic Remmy at The Emirates in August.
