Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could use the sale of Olivier Giroud to his advantage if he fancies signing the likes of Edinson Cavani, according to the SportsDirectNews website
The French boss has been hot and cold on his liking of striker Olivier Giroud this season and following the news that the striker’s wife wants to move back to France, could be ready to sell this summer.
And that could open the door for the Gunners to use him as part of a player-plus-cash deal which involves Cavani.
The big South American hitman is reportedly not happy at the giants and will accept a massive £280,000-a-week deal to leave Ligue 1.
Giroud arrived at the club in 2012 from Ligue 1 club Montpellier and has impressed, scoring 35 goals in 84 appearances so far.
However, his antics off the field that saw him linked to a reported fling with a stripper have seen his personal life affect his professional life, leading to a desire to return to France.
